The Springfield Fish Hatchery is located in Southeast Idaho off Highway 39, approximately 22 miles west of Blackfoot. Following its completion in 2013, the new facility offers an egg incubation room, 22 fiberglass troughs for early rearing, and 22 concrete raceways. The hatchery produces 1,000,000 Snake River Sockeye Salmon smolts each year.
